Letter to Rupert Murdoch

Dear Rupert Murdoch

I have read into your article on your views about the decline in newspapers and having to start charging online users for accessing newspapers. However although you think this I believe by charging people this would be a set back from your customers as people will then go to newspapers which do not charge. I respect that you are just trying to keep up with the way modern media is being informed with people. This does not give you the right to continue charging people in order to make a profit. As it is known that statistics show an elder generation read newspapers and purchase newspapers as appose to the younger generation.

This advert is the 2010 Dove advert. Women are represented in a positive way as they are shown as "pure" and a real women. This advert represents women as being proud of their bodies rather then having super skinny and size zero bodies. The Dove adveet supports women being represented as their true sized curvey and natural bodies. As appose to having women who have enlarged boobs and plastic surgery to themselves.

Women in this advert are represented as true beauty. The camera angles and lighting within this advert have flattered women in their prime best. The reason why the women are shown to be happy and satisfied with their body is to not only sell the product, but to give consumers the essense of how natural and free you feel within your own skin and to "embrace" it. This advert gives women the confidence and spirit of being able be proud of themselves and this advert portrays that.

The advertisment of the women in the image above is seen to be a bad representation of women as this image does not flatter/compliment the womens body by being shot with her top off it gives the impression of being vunerable. The size of her is represented as the size which everyone should be as although it is selling the jeans it also shows how small she really is. By the image showing her bum slightly gives the sense of slightly degrading as she is being looked as a sex object and a manquin by just modelling clothes.

Her facial expression isnt as appealing as she is'nt sending a good message towards herself as she isnt smiling or looking happy. The fact that she is advertised with her top off , this sends a negative message to consumers but also for herself as it isnt showing her as a positive and confindent women , as she is inforcing the stereotypes of women of being "eye candy".
